UGI Utilities has announced a gas main replacement project in Bethlehem, starting July 9, aimed at enhancing service reliability and safety. The upgrades will impact West Graham Place, Vine Street, and Rink Street, with construction hours from 7am to 5pm, Monday through Friday, and an expected completion by early August, subject to weather delays.
During the project, parking restrictions and temporary natural gas service interruptions are expected. UGI will require property access for equipment inspection and relighting. The initiative also presents an opportunity for homes and businesses along the route to consider switching to natural gas, with UGI highlighting the advantages of such a conversion.
