Mullen Automotive Inc. (NASDAQ: MULN) has announced it will now accept cryptocurrency payments, including Bitcoin and the $TRUMP meme coin, for purchases of its Mullen and Bollinger commercial electric vehicles (EVs). This initiative positions Mullen as one of the few automakers to embrace cryptocurrency payments, with plans to potentially include other meme and stablecoins in the future. The company's U.S. safety- and emissions-certified EV lineup, such as the Mullen ONE van, Mullen THREE truck, and Bollinger B4 chassis cab, which boasts a 185-mile range and 7,325-pound payload capacity, becomes more accessible to a broader audience through this payment flexibility.
This development follows Mullen's recent achievements, including the commencement of commercial vehicle production in Tunica, Mississippi, and receiving IRS approval for federal EV tax credits, offering eligible customers up to $7,500 per vehicle. The Mullen ONE and Mullen THREE have also achieved California Air Resource Board (CARB) and EPA certification, with the Mullen THREE eligible for up to a $45,000 cash voucher under the CARB-issued HVIP program. Additionally, Mullen has expanded its commercial dealer network to seven dealers, enhancing sales and service coverage across key U.S. markets.
