IotaComm, Inc. has announced the relocation of its corporate headquarters to Chapel Hill, North Carolina, a strategic move aimed at enhancing its development of next-generation wireless communications and IoT solutions. The new location at 200 West Franklin Street positions the company within the Research Triangle, a region celebrated for its innovation ecosystem and proximity to the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill's talent pool.
Terrence DeFranco, Chairman and CEO of IotaComm, highlighted the relocation as crucial for the company's ambition to create a nationwide wireless carrier specifically for IoT applications. The headquarters, located in a Class A creative office space, is intended to promote collaboration and innovation, facilitating the expansion of IotaComm's LoRaWAN® network and Delphi360™ platform. These technologies play a vital role in digitizing building systems, offering real-time insights into air quality, energy consumption, and asset performance.
Chapel Hill was chosen for its alignment with IotaComm's values of sustainability, technology, and education, as well as its proximity to partners like the Ackerman Center for Excellence in Sustainability. The company continues to maintain its operations in Lehigh Valley, Pennsylvania, focusing on smart manufacturing and community projects.
Hastings Jones of CBRE remarked on the importance of IotaComm's presence in Chapel Hill, emphasizing the company's opportunity to utilize the area's skilled workforce and intellectual capital for national growth. This relocation not only signifies a new phase for IotaComm but also reinforces the Research Triangle's status as a premier center for technological advancement and innovation.
