The National Association of Fleet Administrators (NAFA) is set to transform fleet management education through two pioneering vehicle experiences at its 2025 Institute & Expo (I&E). These initiatives are designed to give fleet professionals direct access to the latest in electric and alternative fuel vehicles, offering both passenger and driving experiences that underscore the industry's technological progress.
On Tuesday, April 29, and Wednesday, April 30, the Indoor EV Test Track will provide attendees with the chance to experience the newest electric vehicles as passengers. This event will feature vehicles from leading manufacturers such as Ford, Lucid, Nissan, PoleStar, Rivian, Volkswagen, and Volvo, with Inspiration Fleet sponsoring a viewing lounge near the event's check-in area.
The Outdoor Ride & Drive Experience, taking place on Wednesday, April 30, will allow participants to personally test drive innovative vehicles from manufacturers including Mercedes Benz, Toyota, Ram Professional, and UPower. This hands-on opportunity is crucial for fleet managers to evaluate emerging vehicle technologies firsthand.
NAFA CEO Bill Schankel highlighted the importance of these events, pointing out their role in showcasing the swift advancements in electric vehicle and alternative fuel technologies. The 2025 Institute & Expo will also feature over 40 educational sessions and networking opportunities, with sponsors from the automotive and fleet management industries such as Enterprise Fleet Management, Geotab, Holman, and Penske Transportation Solutions.
NAFA's members, who manage mobility requirements for commercial, public safety, and government vehicle fleets, oversee assets and services worth more than $122 billion annually. The organization's members are responsible for approximately 4.8 million vehicles that collectively travel an estimated 84 billion miles each year. The 2025 Institute & Expo serves as a vital platform for fleet professionals to engage with and understand the latest in transportation technologies, especially in the fast-evolving electric and alternative fuel vehicle sectors.
