Kripton, a prominent e-commerce platform in Argentina, has entered into a strategic partnership with TRON DAO, marking a significant step towards transforming digital payments and fostering financial inclusion through blockchain technology. This collaboration will see the integration of USDT (Tether USD) as a key digital payment option for more than 2,000 merchants on the Kripton platform, streamlining transactions and reducing costs.
Under this partnership, TRON DAO has committed to covering all transaction fees between Kripton and its users, a move that is expected to enhance payment efficiency and affordability. Additionally, the alliance introduces a pioneering microloan program aimed at central market workers, offering interest-free loans for the purchase of essential work equipment like carts and apparel. This initiative is anticipated to facilitate around 110,000 transactions and generate $2 million in volume within 18 months, with funding sourced from transactions made by market workers using USDT on the TRON network.
Juan Pablo Moreno, CEO of Kripton, shared his optimism about the partnership, praising TRON's expertise in USDT transactions and its commitment to community development. Sam Elfarra, Community Spokesperson at TRON DAO, highlighted the collaboration's potential to accelerate blockchain technology adoption not only in Argentina but across the region. This alliance is part of broader efforts by Kripton, TRON, Tether, and various civil organizations to promote the use of cryptocurrencies, aiming to deliver more accessible and efficient financial solutions to merchants and workers alike.
