Joseph E. Fingerman has been appointed as Senior Managing Director and President of Commercial Real Estate at Peapack Private Bank & Trust, a strategic move that bolsters the bank's commercial lending capabilities. With a career spanning over 25 years in commercial real estate financing, Fingerman's expertise in crafting tailored mortgage solutions for a diverse clientele, including real estate investors, family offices, and major investment firms, positions him as a valuable asset to the bank.
Before his current role, Fingerman made significant contributions at Signature Bank for more than 15 years, where he held the positions of Managing Group Director and Senior Vice President of the Commercial Real Estate Lending Group. His leadership was instrumental in managing the bank's commercial real estate portfolio, with a keen focus on expanding its footprint in the New York and West Coast markets. Following his tenure at Signature Bank, Fingerman founded A&E Real Estate Finance, a boutique private credit platform, further cementing his reputation in the industry.
Fingerman's career is distinguished by his comprehensive experience across various property types, including retail, offices, multifamily, and mixed-use properties, as well as new construction and note-on-note financing. His professional accolades include multiple recognitions on the Power 50 list by Commercial Observer and active participation in esteemed industry organizations such as the NY Apartment Association and Real Estate Board of New York. Beyond his professional endeavors, Fingerman is committed to community service, serving on the boards of several nonprofits, including the UJA Federation of New York and Suffolk Y JCC.
Expressing his enthusiasm for the new role, Fingerman highlighted his longstanding relationship with Peapack Private's CEO, Doug Kennedy, and the opportunity to collaborate with former colleagues. Armed with a Master of Business Administration from Dowling College and a bachelor's degree from the State University of New York at Oneonta, Fingerman's blend of academic knowledge and practical experience is expected to drive significant growth for Peapack Private Bank & Trust's commercial real estate division.
