Alsco Uniforms, a global leader in uniform and linen laundry services, has strategically acquired MacIntosh Services, a Pennsylvania-based linen and uniform provider, marking a significant expansion in the Pennsylvania and New Jersey markets. This acquisition includes MacIntosh's Bethlehem location and is set to integrate the latter's operations into Alsco's extensive network, which spans over 80 mixed-processing facilities across North America.
CEO Bob Steiner highlighted the importance of maintaining the relationship-driven approach that has been a hallmark of MacIntosh Services' operations. The integration aims to uphold the high service standards that MacIntosh's customers have come to expect, while leveraging Alsco's resources to enhance service delivery. James Rodgers, Jr., president of MacIntosh Services, expressed optimism about the acquisition, viewing it as an opportunity to strengthen customer relationships under the Alsco umbrella.
This move is part of Alsco Uniforms' aggressive growth strategy, which has seen the company making several strategic purchases, including Churchill Linen. With over 350,000 customers in 13 countries, Alsco provides a wide range of services, from hygienically clean uniforms and linens to first aid and restroom supplies, catering to diverse industries. Chief Operating Officer Jim Kearns pointed out that strategic acquisitions and investments in sales and service teams are pivotal to the company's expansion plans.
The rebranding of MacIntosh's Bethlehem location and fleet is expected to take place in the coming months, fully integrating the acquired business into Alsco's operational framework. This acquisition not only broadens Alsco's market reach but also underscores its evolution as a leading uniform and linen service provider with a 135-year heritage.
