Fieldsheer has taken a significant step forward in the integration of wearable technology with its Mobile Warming clothing line by introducing smartwatch control capabilities. This development allows users to manage their heated garments directly from their Apple or Android smartwatches, eliminating the need for a smartphone. The new smartwatch app, distinct from the existing MW Connect App, offers the functionality to control multiple garments at once, adjust temperature settings, and keep an eye on battery levels.
This innovation is timely, considering the projected growth of the global smartwatch market from $50.57 billion to $143.19 billion by 2032, with a compound annual growth rate of 15.6%. Patrick Deighan, Fieldsheer's Director of E-Commerce and Marketing, highlighted the company's commitment to technology, noting that the expansion of control options meets the increasing consumer preference for using smartwatches to manage electronic devices.
Fieldsheer's legacy of innovation in technical outerwear dates back to its founding in 1978. The company has been a pioneer in designing motorcycle jackets with integrated protective pads and was among the first to introduce heated motorcycle apparel. As the sole heated apparel company in the U.S. market with a fully integrated in-house supply chain, Fieldsheer oversees every aspect of production, from hardware research and development to battery design and app development.
The smartwatch app is now available for download through regular updates on the Apple and Android app stores at no additional cost, offering users a new level of convenience in managing their temperature-controlled clothing.
