Jennifer (Jenny) Coombs has been named the new Head of Content and Development at US SIF: The Sustainable Investment Forum, a move that underscores the organization's commitment to advancing sustainable investing education. With over fifteen years of experience in financial services, including roles in equity research, trading, and portfolio management, Coombs is poised to make significant contributions to US SIF's initiatives.
Her involvement with US SIF spans eight years, during which she played a pivotal role in developing the Chartered SRI Counselor (CSRIC) designation program. As an associate professor at The College for Financial Planning, Coombs was instrumental in enrolling more than 1,400 professionals into the CSRIC program, with over 1,000 achieving the designation. Her continued affiliation with the college as an adjunct professor further enriches her profile.
Before her appointment at US SIF, Coombs served as the director of client success for Ethos ESG, where she assisted users in navigating ESG reporting and analysis. Her accolades include being recognized as an Investment News 40 Under 40 honoree in 2023 and receiving the Faculty of the Year award from The College for Financial Planning in 2022.
Maria Lettini, CEO of US SIF, expressed confidence in Coombs' ability to enhance the forum's educational offerings. Coombs will work closely with wealth managers, advisors, and academics to deepen the understanding of sustainable investing. Holding a Master of Science in Finance from The College for Financial Planning and a bachelor's degree in Financial Analysis and Political Science from Clarkson University, Coombs is well-equipped for her new role. Additionally, her experience as a TEDx speaker and her tenure on InvestmentNews' ESG advisory board highlight her thought leadership in the field.
In her capacity at US SIF, Coombs aims to sustain the organization's efforts in keeping the dialogue on sustainable investing vibrant and pertinent. US SIF, representing members who manage or advise $5 trillion in assets, is at the forefront of promoting investments that yield positive social and environmental outcomes.
