Whitecap NPI has announced Azali Homes and Newcastle Homes as the builders for its Showcase of Homes, a pivotal development in Corpus Christi's first master-planned community. This project, set to begin construction in December 2024 and complete by the fourth quarter of 2025, aims to redefine coastal living on Padre Island's north end by harmonizing luxury homes with the natural environment.
Sara Azali of Azali Homes and John Pope of Newcastle Homes bring decades of experience to the project, ensuring homes that reflect quality craftsmanship and the island lifestyle. The Showcase will feature homes ranging from 2,358 to 3,976 square feet, designed by Place Designers and Will & Fotsch Architects, with amenities like rooftop terraces, elevators, and boat docks.
The 240-acre development will offer over 600 residential options, including homes with canal access, and a 30-acre nature preserve to restore the barrier island habitat. Terence Johnson of Ashlar Development highlights the project's potential to transform the Texas Gulf Coast, improve community services, and generate city revenue.
Initiated by Diamond Beach Holdings LLC and Ashlar Development LLC, with homesites currently for sale, Whitecap NPI represents a milestone in Corpus Christi's urban planning. It sets a new standard for coastal living, blending luxury with environmental stewardship, and is expected to significantly impact the local economy and tourism.
