The 26th Water, Energy, Technology, and Environment Exhibition (WETEX) is scheduled to take place from October 1-3, 2024, at the Dubai World Trade Centre, showcasing a significant increase in international participation with 21 pavilions from around the globe. Organized by the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), the event is expected to attract over 2,800 companies from 65 countries, making it a key platform for innovation and collaboration in sustainability.
HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD & CEO of DEWA and Founder and Chairman of WETEX, highlighted the exhibition's growing importance, stating its status as a must-attend event for organizations worldwide. Among the international participants, the Water Purification And Treatment Association of Gujarat (WAPTAG) from India reports a 50% increase in member participation, signaling stronger UAE-India ties in water treatment. Belgium's pavilion, featuring six companies from the Walloon region, showcases expertise in water treatment and green hydrogen, contributing to global climate change efforts.
Italy's participation, organized by the Italian Trade Agency, underscores the country's commitment to sustainable innovation, while Belarus makes its debut at WETEX, aiming to foster future cooperation and projects. The diverse representation at WETEX 2024 mirrors the worldwide shift towards sustainable practices, offering a platform for knowledge exchange and business partnerships.
