Mullen Automotive, through its subsidiary Bollinger Motors, has announced a significant expansion of its commercial electric vehicle (EV) dealer network by partnering with TEC Equipment, Inc. This collaboration introduces 20 select sales and service locations across the Western United States, including Arizona, California, Iowa, Nebraska, Nevada, Oregon, South Dakota, and Washington. This strategic expansion not only extends Bollinger Motors' geographical reach but also fortifies its stance in the competitive EV market.
Jim Connelly, Chief Revenue Officer for Bollinger Motors, highlighted the significance of this partnership, stating it provides a solid foundation in crucial markets and underscores the company's dedication to electrification and customer support. The partnership with TEC Equipment, a reputable family-owned dealership since 1976, is a testament to Bollinger Motors' commitment to quality and service excellence.
This expansion is timely for Mullen Automotive, as the company advances in the EV sector with recent milestones including the commencement of commercial vehicle production in Tunica, Mississippi, and IRS approval for federal EV tax credits on its commercial vehicles. These developments, coupled with the Qualified Manufacturer designation, offer eligible customers up to $7,500 per vehicle, potentially enhancing sales and adoption rates.
Mullen's product offerings, such as the Mullen ONE and Mullen THREE, are CARB and EPA certified, showcasing the company's focus on sustainable transportation solutions. The expansion of Bollinger Motors' dealer network through TEC Equipment is poised to significantly impact the commercial EV market in the Western United States by improving access to sales and service, thereby facilitating the transition to electric vehicles for fleet operators and businesses.
This initiative aligns with the broader shift towards electrification and sustainable transportation, addressing the growing demand for eco-friendly commercial vehicles amidst tightening emissions regulations. For Mullen Automotive, this expansion is a strategic move to strengthen its market presence and compete with established automakers venturing into the commercial EV space.
The partnership between Bollinger Motors and TEC Equipment exemplifies the critical role of dealer and service network expansions in advancing the commercial EV market. Such efforts are instrumental in promoting sustainable mobility, reducing emissions, and improving air quality, marking a significant step forward in the evolution of commercial transportation in the United States.
