Ryvid, a California-based electric motorcycle manufacturer, has introduced a Power Controller Upgrade for its Anthem and Outset models, developed by Accelerated Systems Inc (ASI), marking a significant leap in performance for electric motorcycles. This upgrade, available for both new purchases and as a retrofit for existing models, increases peak torque at the wheel from 250 ft-lb to 334 ft-lb and boosts peak horsepower from 20hp to 27hp, all without affecting the battery range. This enhancement not only makes the Ryvid Anthem and Outset more thrilling to ride but also improves their highway capability, making them more versatile across various riding conditions.
The upgrade is part of Ryvid's commitment to innovation and sustainability in urban commuting. The company, founded by enthusiasts and engineered by aerospace industry innovators, focuses on creating lightweight, affordable electric motorcycles with a lower carbon footprint. The ASI Power Controller Upgrade is a testament to this commitment, offering riders an improved experience while adhering to environmental sustainability. Riders can choose between Sport and Eco modes, with Sport mode unleashing the full potential of the 72V air-cooled, brushless DC motor and the removable 4.3kWh battery with integrated charger.
For a limited time, Ryvid is offering the ASI Controller for free with Outset orders placed before July 31, 2024. Anthem model owners, both new and existing, can purchase the upgrade for $800 through Ryvid's website. The company provides flexible installation options, including a DIY approach supported by guidance videos or professional installation by a Ryvid technician for an additional fee. Feedback from riders and media reviewers has been overwhelmingly positive, with many praising the enhanced performance that elevates the already impressive capabilities of these electric motorcycles.
The Ryvid Anthem and Outset models share several key features, including a rigid steel backbone frame, instrument display, and the innovative Ryvid Reverse Drive, which allows the bike to move backward at walking speed when stopped. Priced at $6,495 for the Anthem and $5,995 for the Outset, these models represent an affordable entry into the world of electric motorcycles, combining performance, sustainability, and innovation. With the introduction of the ASI Power Controller Upgrade, Ryvid continues to lead the charge in the evolution of electric light vehicles, making them more appealing and practical for a wider audience.
