Comcast is enhancing its commitment to small businesses in Southern Colorado through the Comcast RISE program, offering 100 businesses in Colorado Springs and El Paso County comprehensive grant packages. These packages include a $5,000 monetary grant, business coaching, online entrepreneurship courses, a 30-second TV commercial production, media strategy consultation, and a 12-month technology makeover. This initiative is designed to support the economic vitality and digital inclusion of small businesses in the region.
J.D. Keller, senior vice president of Comcast's Mountain West Region, highlighted the company's dedication to empowering local businesses, stating the program's resources are tailored to make a lasting impact. Small businesses, the backbone of Colorado Springs' economy, stand to benefit significantly from this initiative, as emphasized by Mayor Yemi Mobolade. The program not only aids in job creation and economic diversification but also enhances the community's unique character.
Eligible businesses have the opportunity to apply for these grant packages from May 1 through May 31 at www.ComcastRISE.com. With 100 grants to be awarded in Southern Colorado and 500 nationwide, the recipients will be announced in August 2024. Originally launched in November 2020 to assist businesses affected by COVID-19, Comcast RISE has evolved into a broader initiative under Comcast's $1 billion Project UP, aimed at promoting digital equity and economic mobility.
