Astral Resources NL (ASX:AAR) has reported encouraging results from its recent drilling program at the Kamperman prospect, part of the Feysville Gold Project in Western Australia. The 19-hole reverse circulation (RC) drilling campaign not only infilled the prospect to the south but also extended the mineralised strike by 100 metres to the north, now totaling 350 metres. This expansion underscores the prospect's growing significance in the region's gold exploration efforts.
Key assays from the drilling have unveiled substantial gold intersections, including a notable 13 metres at 3.95 g/t gold from 35 metres depth. Such findings emphasize the high-grade potential of the Kamperman prospect, with 14 out of the 19 drilled holes encountering significant gold mineralisation. These results bolster the prospect's viability as a high-grade satellite ore source for the planned Mandilla Process Plant.
Marc Ducler, managing director of Astral Resources NL, highlighted the success of the drilling program and the company's next steps. Astral Resources NL plans to commence a follow-up 2,500-metre RC drilling program aimed at further extending the strike length and exploring high-grade shear-hosted gold mineralisation. This ambitious plan is supported by recent capital raising efforts, indicating the company's commitment to advancing the Kamperman prospect's development.
