Monster Energy MACC Racing is gearing up for a competitive edge in the 2024 P1 AquaX US Championship with the announcement of its dynamic team lineup. Following a victorious end to the 2023 season, the team is set to capitalize on its momentum with the addition of Tim Miller, a veteran in the sport known for his prowess in the US National Tour and IJSBA World Finals. Miller's expertise is expected to significantly bolster the team's performance in the personal watercraft (PWC) racing circuit.
Joining Miller is Cooper Caldwell, a young but accomplished athlete who has already secured two US Amateur National Championships and a runner-up position in the 2023 IJSBA World Championship Amateur Runabout Stock Class. At just 16 years old, Caldwell represents the next generation of PWC racing talent, with his sights set on making a mark in the P1 AquaX Amateur Enduro Class.
Chris MacClugage, the team's owner and a two-time P1 AquaX US National Champion, shared his optimism about the upcoming season. Highlighting the support from Monster Energy and Dean's Team, MacClugage underscored the team's readiness and the strategic addition of Caldwell to nurture emerging talent within the sport.
Caldwell expressed his gratitude for the opportunity and his commitment to learning from seasoned teammates like MacClugage and Miller. With rigorous training and a focus on equipment care, Caldwell aims to secure a podium finish in his debut season with the team.
