BOXT, a direct-to-consumer winery, has unveiled its inaugural limited-edition, signed, small-vineyard press collection, a project that underscores the company's dedication to crafting exceptional wines while addressing environmental concerns. This launch is the result of extensive blending sessions led by Founder & CEO Sarah Puil and the BOXT master winemaker, aiming to perfect the aromatics, texture, and taste of each wine.
The initiative aligns with BOXT's broader mission to enhance the sustainability of the wine industry. The company highlights a critical issue: 40% of the carbon emissions in the wine sector stem from the use and transportation of single-use glass bottles, despite most wine being consumed within a year of production. BOXT's innovative 'never in glass' approach seeks to mitigate this waste, offering a sustainable alternative without compromising on quality.
Drawing inspiration from European table wine traditions, BOXT is transforming how fine wine is delivered, focusing on reducing single-use glass bottle waste. The company's wines, which stay fresh for over 30 days after opening, aim to simplify wine selection and eliminate the hesitation around opening a bottle. The new limited-edition wines expand BOXT's portfolio, which already includes three whites, four reds, and one rosé.
Sarah Puil shared her vision behind the collection, emphasizing the meticulous selection of grapes from family-owned vineyards across California and Washington. The goal was to create wines that reflect the unique terroir of each vineyard, combining the art and science of winemaking to produce an unforgettable experience. Each BOXT in the limited-edition series is numbered and signed by Puil, showcasing the handcrafted care invested in every bottle.
