The Original Pancake House – DFW hosted a successful VIP Re-Grand Opening celebration at its Northwest Highway location on Thursday, October 30, marking the completion of a full interior remodel and a renewed commitment to serving the Dallas community. The afternoon event welcomed Deputy Mayor Pro Tem Gay Donnell Willis as a special guest, alongside local leaders, loyal guests, and longtime patrons. Attendees toured the newly refreshed restaurant, networked with community friends, and enjoyed food catered by Asian Mint and i Fratelli Pizza.

The ribbon-cutting ceremony at 4:30 PM featured a heartfelt tribute from Deputy Mayor Pro Tem Willis, who shared her own fond memories of dining at The Original Pancake House Northwest Highway for many years and praised the restaurant's enduring role in the community. The event also celebrated several longtime associates and managers whose combined service represents more than a century of dedication: Robert Pool with 35 years, Florindo Salas with 35 years, Carlos Garcia with 25 years, and Senornino Salas with 25 years. In a touching moment, Betty Bailey, age 89, was on hand to celebrate the occasion alongside her son.
