Superior Ink, a prominent screen-printing and apparel production company in Colorado, has launched the "Built for the Community" initiative, a monthly program designed to support local small businesses through complimentary custom apparel. The program will provide one selected business in the Colorado Springs or Fountain region with 12 custom-branded shirts each month, all designed, printed, and delivered by Superior Ink's creative team at no cost.
The initiative aims to strengthen community ties, celebrate entrepreneurship, and highlight the unique character of local businesses throughout Southern Colorado. Dominic Rosacci, Founder and CEO of Superior Ink, emphasized the company's commitment to community integration, stating that the program represents their dedication to using their expertise to uplift other small businesses. "When we relocated to Fountain, our goal was not just to establish a facility - we aimed to integrate into the community," Rosacci said.
Happy Hour Donuts, a Fountain-based donut shop known for its innovative flavors and community atmosphere, has been selected as the inaugural recipient. Superior Ink created a custom graphic tee inspired by the shop's branding and will deliver the shirts this month. Beyond the apparel, Superior Ink plans to feature each chosen business on its social media platforms, website, and newsletters, sharing their stories to help them reach new customers and build a network of local entrepreneurs connected through community-driven merchandise.
Rosacci highlighted the broader impact of such initiatives, noting, "Merchandise is impactful - it tells a story that can be worn. When a local business is given a tangible means to share their narrative, it generates a ripple effect that benefits the entire community." The program is set to continue throughout the year, with a new small business selected monthly.
