The 52nd Hong Kong Toys & Games Fair, the 17th Hong Kong Baby Products Fair, and the 24th Hong Kong International Stationery & School Supplies Fair will be held concurrently from January 12 to 15, 2026, at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. Organized by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) and Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd., the fairs have attracted over 2,600 exhibitors from 37 countries and regions, including new participants from Bangladesh, New Zealand, and Norway. Jenny Koo, HKTDC Deputy Executive Director, stated that the fairs, themed 'New Play for All,' align with the global surge in designer toys and collectibles, aiming to create international collaboration opportunities.
A key highlight is the newly launched 'Pop & Play' pavilion, which brings together around 150 trendy intellectual properties (IPs) and is open to both trade buyers and the public. This pavilion features international and local famous IPs such as B.Duck, CardFun, CR7® LIFE, Hot Toys, and threezero, showcasing latest creations and limited-edition collectibles. For example, TUTU MOKEY collectible figurines are limited to 100 pieces globally, while CM Concepts Limited's Mazinger Z Playing Cards are limited to 1,500 sets worldwide. The pavilion also includes diverse events like seminars and autograph sessions with renowned artists, such as Kenny Wong, creator of Molly, and a thematic seminar on January 14 titled 'Explosive Growth of IP Economy: from Local Success to Global Reach.' Visitors can enjoy interactive experiences, including photo spots with fair mascots Ah Pop and Ah Play, AI photo-taking, and a 'Souvenir DIY' workshop. In response to global ageing trends, the Toys & Games Fair introduces a 'Happy Ageing' label to help buyers identify toys designed for seniors or intergenerational family fun, with over 40 exhibitors adopting it. Additionally, the HKTDC's Q4 2025 Export Confidence Index shows the toy sector's current conditions index rising to 50.5, its highest since Q1 last year, driven in part by demand for sustainable products. The 'Green Toys' zone at the fair showcases eco-friendly innovations, such as STEM magic sets made from biodegradable materials, with over 400 exhibitors displaying the Green Solutions label—a 10% increase from 2025. The Baby Products Fair features expanded zones like the World of Strollers and Gear, hosting approximately 230 exhibitors, while the Stationery Fair offers the latest school and office supplies. All fairs include international pavilions, such as from Chinese Mainland, Taiwan, and Korea, and have organized over 200 buyer missions from more than 40 countries and regions, including e-commerce platforms like Rakuten, Tmall Global, and Amazon.
The Asia Toys & Games Forum, themed 'Empowering the Toy Industry for Global Success,' will feature discussions by experts from Euromonitor International, The Walt Disney Company, SGS Hong Kong Limited, and Yukai Engineering Inc. on topics like market outlook, IP ecosystems, and toy safety regulations. Under the EXHIBITION+ model, the fairs combine physical exhibitions with the Click2Match smart-matching platform for online business meetings from January 5 to 22, 2026, and the Scan2Match function allows buyers to bookmark exhibitors. This integrated approach aims to create cross-industry opportunities and support the growing 'kidult' and collectibles market, which is injecting strong momentum into the toy industry.
