Mullen Automotive Inc. has announced that its commercial electric vehicles (EVs) are now eligible for incentives under Illinois' ComEd Business & Public Sector EV Rebate Program. This initiative allows businesses purchasing Mullen vehicles through Pritchard EV or Range Truck Group to qualify for up to $7,500 per Mullen ONE Class 1 cargo van. Combined with federal tax credits, total savings can reach $15,000, offering a substantial financial incentive for businesses to transition to electric fleets.
The program also includes medium-duty EVs, which may qualify for rebates up to $30,000, though applications are currently waitlisted due to high demand. This development complements existing state-level incentives in California and Massachusetts, expanding opportunities for cost savings in fleet electrification and highlighting the increasing support for sustainable transportation solutions.
Mullen Automotive's vehicles, including the Mullen ONE and Mullen THREE, are CARB and EPA certified, making them available nationwide. The CARB-issued HVIP approval for the Mullen THREE offers up to a $45,000 cash voucher at purchase, further reducing the cost of electric commercial vehicles. With an expanding dealer network and Foreign Trade Zone status for its Tunica manufacturing center, Mullen Automotive is strengthening its position in the green commercial transportation sector.
This announcement is crucial for businesses aiming to lower operational costs and environmental impact through electrification, aligning with the growing demand for sustainable business practices and environmental goals.
