NATCOM, Haiti's leading telecommunications provider, has launched two innovative services aimed at transforming digital connectivity and financial services for Haitians both within the country and abroad. These services include an international mobile top-up feature and a digital remittance platform through the Natcash Mobile Wallet, marking a significant step forward in addressing the communication and financial needs of the Haitian diaspora.
The international mobile top-up service facilitates instant recharging of mobile accounts for individuals in Haiti by their relatives and friends in countries such as the United States, Canada, and France. This service is made possible through partnerships with global platforms like Ding, TransferTo, and BOSS Revolution, ensuring secure and convenient transactions across borders.
Complementing the top-up service, the Natcash Mobile Wallet now enables direct remittances from the United States to Haiti, thanks to a strategic partnership with CAM Transfer. This feature allows recipients in Haiti immediate access to funds sent from abroad, which can be used for bill payments, purchasing goods, transferring money, or cash withdrawals through a nationwide network of agents.
These advancements by NATCOM are not just technological milestones but also vital tools for economic empowerment, offering Haitians a more efficient alternative to traditional money transfer methods. By leveraging digital platforms, NATCOM is effectively bridging the gap between Haitians living abroad and their families back home, fostering stronger connections and supporting the local economy.
Since its inception in 2011 as a joint venture between the Viettel Group and the Haitian government, NATCOM has been at the forefront of technological innovation and social responsibility in Haiti. The introduction of these services underscores NATCOM's commitment to expanding digital infrastructure and services, reinforcing its role as a key player in Haiti's economic connectivity and development.
