Notably, the Single Item Restore feature is now available for all Hypervisor plugins, and the introduction of Hypervisor to Cloud (EC2) conversion facilitates seamless migration of on-premise virtual machines to the cloud.
Enhancements to the Hyper-V support enable agentless backups, offering flexibility in deployment types and backup methods without additional storage requirements. The Kubernetes module has been updated for smarter backup mode selection and broader service protection, including support for Amazon RDS backups and improved Microsoft 365 plugin functionalities.
For HPC environments, Bacula has added Quobyte support and optimized its Big File Split module for faster backups in data-intensive settings. The software's deduplication capabilities have also been enhanced, providing more robust scan and recovery options.
