Denver International Airport (DEN), recognized as the world's sixth busiest airport, has recently completed a major upgrade to its parking operations through a partnership with Flash, a leading parking technology platform. This transformation, which was executed in just 22 days, encompasses nine public and employee parking garages and lots, directly benefiting the airport's 40,000 employees and 77.8 million annual passengers.
The upgrade introduces advanced features such as automatic vehicle identification (AVI) lanes, which allow for seamless entry and exit for employees, significantly enhancing efficiency. With 144 lanes now equipped with 137 kiosks, 97 license plate recognition (LPR) lanes, and 49 AVI lanes, the airport has reported improved traffic flow and reduced wait times shortly after implementation.
Mark Nagel, Senior Vice President of Parking and Commercial Transportation at DEN, praised the collaboration, highlighting Flash's innovative solutions aimed at improving the customer experience. Dan Sharplin, CEO of Flash, emphasized the platform's ability to handle DEN's high-volume requirements, thanks to its technology breadth and focus on the driver experience.
The Flash platform's cloud-based design ensures operational continuity even during disruptions, offering reliability to the airport and its users. This upgrade not only sets a new standard for parking management in high-traffic environments but also demonstrates the critical role of technology in modernizing infrastructure and enhancing urban mobility.
