Dietmar Heinisser has resigned from his position as a member of the ANDRITZ AG Executive Board for personal reasons, effective September 21, 2026. In that role, he was responsible for the Environment & Energy business area and Group Manufacturing Management. The announcement was made via NEWMEDIAWIRE on September 22, 2026.
Heinisser joined ANDRITZ in 1997 and spent nearly 30 years with the company, holding various management positions across Austria, Germany, and the United States. During his tenure, he played a significant role in developing and substantially growing ANDRITZ’s Paper Service business. He was appointed to the Executive Board in 2023.
“I regret Dietmar’s departure and, on behalf of ANDRITZ, would like to thank him for his strong commitment and valuable contributions during his many years with the company and his time on the Executive Board. We respect his decision and wish him all the best for the future,” said Joachim Schonbeck, President and CEO of ANDRITZ.
Until further notice, Schonbeck will assume the Executive Board responsibilities previously held by Heinisser. This consolidation places the strategic direction of the Environment & Energy business area and Group Manufacturing Management directly under the CEO’s purview. For a company with approximately 30,000 employees across 280 locations in over 80 countries, such a transition could affect decision-making speed and operational continuity in these critical divisions.
The Environment & Energy business area is central to ANDRITZ’s sustainability offerings, which support the green transition for industrial customers. Group Manufacturing Management oversees the company’s global production network, ensuring efficiency and quality across its plants. Schonbeck’s direct oversight may signal a temporary streamlining of leadership as ANDRITZ evaluates a permanent successor.
For stakeholders, including customers, partners, and investors, the change introduces a period of uncertainty but also an opportunity for renewed focus. ANDRITZ’s commitment to advanced digitalization and comprehensive services remains unchanged, as does its mission to maximize the value of customers’ plants over their entire life cycle.
