Travelodge Opens Largest Asian Hotel in Seoul's Gangnam District

Travelodge Hotels Asia has officially opened Travelodge Gangnam Yeoksam Seoul, its fifth hotel in South Korea and largest property in Asia. The 360-room hotel, fully renovated to reflect the brand's refreshed look and feel, is one of the few newly updated properties in Gangnam. The opening underscores Travelodge's commitment to strategic growth in key Asian markets and provides a significant boost to Seoul's hospitality capacity, particularly for business travelers.

The hotel offers a range of room types, including Queen, Twin, Triple, Quadruple, and Accessible Rooms, catering to solo travelers, couples, families, and groups. Amenities are designed around the essentials of a good stay: well-appointed rooms, comfortable beds, modern bathrooms, and a satisfying breakfast by BON Food Service, a Korean food-service operator. A GS25 convenience store is scheduled to open by the end of October. For business guests, the property features a spacious co-working lounge, fitness center, business center, and meeting facilities for up to 60 people. Additional conveniences include 43 parking spaces, self-service laundry, currency exchange kiosk, and a 24-hour front desk.

Kevin Hayes, a business traveler from California who stayed four nights, praised the practical amenities: "The check-in process was quick and easy, and the room had everything I needed for a business trip. The fast Wi-Fi made it easy to stay connected and get work done, while the comfortable bed was a welcome bonus after a busy day of meetings." His experience highlights the hotel's focus on serving the needs of corporate travelers, a key demographic for the Gangnam district.

Located in Yeoksam, the hotel is 600 meters from Seolleung and Jeongneung Royal Tombs and near Bongeunsa Temple. Business travelers can reach COEX Convention & Exhibition Center, Starfield Mall, and Library within 15 minutes by bus or subway. The Gangnam Station Shopping District offers dining, shopping, and nightlife, while Lotte World is about 30 minutes away by subway. Garosu-gil and Apgujeong Rodeo provide fashion, beauty, and café culture. "Gangnam has so much to offer, from business and shopping to local culture. We're excited to welcome guests to Travelodge Gangnam Yeoksam Seoul, offering a comfortable place to unwind and a stay they can trust while enjoying everything the city has to offer," said Anthony Yoo, Hotel Manager.

To celebrate the opening, the "Stay Gold in Gangnam" promotion offers eligible guests booking directly from October 2026 to January 2027 a chance to win a 24K gold bar through the hotel's Fortune Wheel and a complimentary Hanbok experience. Members also enjoy Best Price Guarantee+, up to 5% cashback after their stay, and perks like Early Check-In and Late Check-Out. Travelers can Sign up for free to unlock these benefits.

The opening marks another milestone in Travelodge Hotels Asia's regional expansion. Headquartered in Singapore, the company operates across Japan, South Korea, Singapore, Hong Kong, Malaysia, and Thailand, with 18 hotels currently and plans to exceed 50 properties by 2030. For the business services industry, this growth signals increasing demand for value-driven accommodations in strategic locations and highlights the importance of meeting the needs of business travelers. As Travelodge continues to expand, it reinforces its position as a key player in Asia's hospitality sector, offering comfort, convenience, and connection to a diverse range of guests.
