The Hispanic Motor Press (HMP) has announced the finalists for the 2025 Hispanic Motor Press Awards (HMPA), highlighting vehicles that resonate with Hispanic consumers, a demographic that now represents one in four new vehicle purchases in the United States. This year's awards, in their 15th iteration, have evaluated over 200 vehicles across five categories, with a jury of Hispanic automotive journalists and influencers assessing them on design, safety, performance, and more.
Ricardo Rodriguez-Long, HMP founder, highlighted the awards' role in guiding Hispanic buyers towards vehicles that enhance their experience with clean and safe transportation. The finalists include notable models like the Chevy Equinox EV and Hyundai Ioniq 6 in the Electric Vehicle category, and the Genesis GV80 Coupe among Luxury Vehicles, reflecting the diverse preferences of Hispanic consumers.
Presented by Meguiar's, the awards underscore the Hispanic market's growing influence in the automotive sector. The winners will be unveiled at the LA Auto Show – AutoMobility LA on November 21, with the awarded vehicles displayed at the Los Angeles Convention Center thereafter.
The HMPA not only aids Hispanic consumers in making informed vehicle choices but also supports future industry professionals through its scholarship program. As the automotive landscape evolves, the HMPA remains a pivotal resource for Hispanic buyers and a catalyst for manufacturers to address this vital market segment's specific needs.
